We are currently looking for a Media Technician to join a leading company based in the Surrey area. As the Media Technician you will be responsible for supporting the Media Shift Technicians in the operation of appropriate process plant and equipment and manufacture sterile media for vaccine production, fully respecting GMP, biosecurity and HSE standards.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Media Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. To support the Media Shift technicians in the manufacture of media and other process reagents to agreed HSE, GMP, and Biosecurity standards.

2. When required operate and maintain process plant and equipment in accordance with prescribed standard operating procedures.

3. Perform laboratory tests at various stages of the Media production process and record findings accurately and systematically. Observe and accurately record readings taken from process plant instrumentation and laboratory equipment and report any major problems promptly to the Media Supervisor and shift technician.

4. When required, you will input all necessary data onto appropriate computerised records in a concise and timely manner.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Media Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Science discipline such as Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry etc.

2. Proven industry experience in a GMP sterile manufacturing environment will be highly advantageous.
