An exciting opportunity for a Junior In Vivo Pharmacologist has become available in a leading Biotechnology company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Junior In Vivo Pharmacologist you will play a key role in the continuous advancement of the company's immuno-oncology platform and will contribute to break-through drug discovery and development. You will be largely lab-based, working under the supervision of a senior scientist within the preclinical pharmacology group.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Junior In Vivo Pharmacologist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Involved in preclinical In Vivo experiments of oncology mouse models and will act as the main point of contact/expert for lab-based scientists across the company in reference to In Vivo study execution and co-ordination.

2. Aid, design and execute a diverse range of experiments for In Vivo investigations of novel therapeutics and carry out on-going analysis of data generated to identify issues and implement necessary changes.

3. Establish a broad technical skill set to directly aid and advise lab based scientists with In Vivo requirements and knowledge of trial design and execution.

4. Operate and validate all items of equipment or IT needed for experimentation, data analysis, storage and data entry while contributing to the maintenance of reagents and general lab facilities.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Junior In Vivo Pharmacologist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g. Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) in addition to holding a valid Home Office License.

2. Proven industry experience in In Vivo studies where you have maintained animal welfare, been involved in drug dosing and have excellent experience in detailed recording of findings.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience within a drug discovery environment is ideal, especially with a focus on immuno-oncology In Vivo models.
