We are currently looking for a Formulation Technical Specialist with experience in the Manufacturing process transfer to join a leading company based in the North Wales area for a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract. As the Formulation Technical Specialist within Manufacturing your focus will be sterile biological product manufacturing. You will be a part of the formulation development team but work within sterile liquid and lyophilised drug product process development.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Formulation Technical Specialist with a focus in Manufacturing will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be required to develop, coordinate, and execute drug product process development activities for new and existing drug products, whilst maintaining regulatory compliance and providing technical support for drug product manufacture on site.

2. You will organise work and coordinate co-workers support to meet deadlines for Biologics Development group activities while also preparing process development protocols to perform planned activities and write associated reports.

3. Act as an internal interface to ensure the execution of activities as planned, following robust ways of working and lead aspects of non-routine support for processes and the development of new/novel methods to support process, transfer and improvement activities.

4. Identify, liaise and work with third parties in order to progress Biologics Development activities, including review of proposals, protocols and reports and contribute effectively to solve both GMP and business issues and deviations supporting cross functional team.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Formulation Technical Specialist in Manufacturing we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biological or Chemical discipline, ideally with a PhD in the area of Biologic Formulation Development.

2. Proven industry experience in Drug Product Process Development.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with transfer of drug formulation products to a large scale manufacturing environment. Ideally with a good understanding of GMP regulations.
