Job Purpose
To provide (as part of a team) a high-quality analytical chemistry service to customers of Sport and Specialised Analytical Services (SAS)

Accountabilities

- Productive and flexible working
- Provision of results in a timely manner following documented procedures
- Plan and conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques and in accord with regulatory standards, e.g. ISO 17025
- Interpretation of analytical data and presentation of results and conclusions
- Responsive and willing to perform additional analyses as and when required
- Perform routine maintenance on a range of scientific equipment
- Act in compliance with the site Health & Safety Policy
- Follow SOPs

Role Dimensions

- Organising personal time and activities in the lab and of immediate work area
- Working as part of an operational team
- Participating in the training of new/temporary staff and less experienced scientists
- Presenting work to internal audiences
- Supporting the lab charter with empowerment to challenge others if necessary
