The Role

Working as part of the Analytical team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will oversee analytical training within Analytical Services, Analytical Development, Physical Sciences and Quality Control: to include basic analytical techniques and GMP procedures.

The post holder will report to the Analytical Training Leader and be part of the Analytical Training Team. They will provide ongoing training and mentorship for trainees on the initial analytical programme at the start of their employment. They will also ensure that a training plan is in place for all staff, including a specific plan for new starts, and training is provided regularly and in a timely manner.

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSE (or equivalent) passes, grades A-C, in Mathematics and English Language
  • Third level qualification (or equivalent) in a Life Science related discipline
  • Previous analytical experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience of drug substance or drug product analysis in a GMP/GLP environment
  • Experience of delivering training programs within an analytical environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel etc)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to apply a meticulous approach to tasks undertaken
  • Proven ability to organise and plan work both independently and in conjunction with team members
  • Working knowledge of COSHH

Desirable Criteria

  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in an Analytical related discipline
  • Working knowledge of multiple analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, IR, NMR, MS, KF)
