We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Laboratory Technician with experience of HPLC to join a growing life sciences company based in the Derbyshire area. This role is initially available for a period of 12 months, however there is a possibility of the role being made permanent.

This could be a great opportunity for someone starting out in their career as a scientist to further develop experience in testing and analysis of products, using HPLC.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Laboratory Technician will be laboratory based, and your key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Conduct routine experimental work and reporting of the analysis of test substances and other materials.

2. Development and validation of methods and analytical procedures.

3. Maintenance of Facilities and Laboratory documentation to satisfy the requirements of GLP.

4. The role will mainly involve the application of GC, HPLC, GCMS, UV-Vis as well as classical wet chemistry techniques.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Laboratory Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Degree level in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience using modern analytical instrumentation including HPLC and other chromatography based techniques

3. Have worked in or have knowledge of a GLP environment.
