Hyper Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for a Market Application Specialist to join a leading chemical manufacturing company based in the East Riding of Yorkshire area. As the Market Application Specialist you will be responsible for carrying out activities in the market sector R&D programme and provide technical support to customers. In some businesses this involves leading a small team of scientists.


Your duties as the Market Application Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will provide high level technical support to customers in a defined application area, involving customer visiting and carrying out experimental programmes.

2. As the Market Application Specialist you will be recognised as an authority in a defined market/product area and you will promote the company's image through presentations at trade exhibitions and conferences.

3. You will allocate short and medium term projects (from a few days to more than one year) to self and other members of the team. Plan, run and monitor progress on all projects to deliver results on time. Unexpected projects do come up that must be carried out immediately and this means reorganising the workload of self and others.

4. As the Market Application Specialist you will use a creative and viable approach to support new product launches and existing product ranges, including development of new test methodologies and creation of novel finished formulations for promotional means. You will design and carry out laboratory experiments.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Market Application Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.

2. Proven industry experience within a customer facing role, with the aptitude to interact with cross-functional teams (sales, production, marketing, purchasing, regulatory)

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with laboratory experimental work.
