We currently have a great opportunity available for a Scientist to join the Bioanalysis team of a leading life sciences company based in the Cambridgeshire area. This could be a great opportunity for a recent graduate to continue their career in an industrial setting.

As the Scientist in Bioanalysis you will be responsible for the development, validation and application of bioanalytical methods for use in Drug Development Services. The majority of the methods developed are qualitative and quantitative analyses of drugs, biomarkers and clinical markers in biological fluids, predominately blood plasma and urine.


Your duties as the Scientist within Bioanalysis will be mainly laboratory based however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Development and validation of quantitative LC/MS/MS methods for the analysis of drugs and metabolites in biological matrices.

2. Application of these methods to routine analysis of samples from pre-clinical and clinical studies.

3. Record-keeping in compliance with GLP/GCP

4. Preparation of study plans and reports


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Scientist - Bioanalysis we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in chemistry or a related subject, or comparable experience.

2. Proven industry experience using chromatographic techniques, including HPLC and LCMS, plus demonstrate the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.

3. It is important to demonstrate the ability to work with minimum supervision and make scientific decisions without the need for referral.
