We are currently looking for a Cell Biologist to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Cell Biologist you will be responsible for providing support to small molecule and antibody therapeutic projects.


Your duties as the Cell Biologist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Providing support with various ELISA assays, cell culture and cell biology assays. This will include gene reporters, proliferation assays, flow cytometry, cell binding assays and more complex immunoflorescent type assays.

2. You will be handing cells, cell culture and then harvesting the agent for the ELISA. You'll also be working with robotics and liquid handling.

3. You'll contribute to design and implementation of in vitro cellular assays to support novel therapeutic projects, and analysing experimental data / statistical analysis.

4. You will play a part of a multi disciplinary group of Biochemists, Pharmacologists and Cell Biologists working as a part of the project team and interacting with different areas of the company.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Scientific discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in Pharmaceuticals / Biopharmaceuticals with Cell Culture or handing cells is ideal.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with cell based assays, cell handling and a good grounding in drug discovery.
