We are currently looking for a Equipment Scientist to join a leading contract manufacturing pharmaceutical company based in the Oxfordshire area on a 12 Month FTC basis. As the Equipment Scientist you will be responsible for managing the analytical equipment, ensuring the laboratory remains in an audit ready state.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Equipment Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Manage equipment servicing and maintenance contracts liaising between suppliers and analytical management; complying with GMP.

2. Overview and review all qualification and calibration schedules; performing software validations and ensuring all calibration and qualification data remains up to date.

3. Troubleshoot equipment issues and working with external contractors to resolve issues; whilst writing validation master plans, as well as the generation and execution of documents for new equipment.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Equipment Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a science related discipline, with proven industry experience and a strong knowledge of equipment calibration and validation.

2. A working knowledge and practical experience with HPLC, GC, dissolution baths and stability chambers; experience with Empower would be desirable.
