We are currently looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Hertfordshire area. As the EHS Manager you will be responsible for providing the day to day Health, Safety and Environmental professional leadership, support and advice to the management teams, employees and contractors within a highly regulated manufacturing facility.


Your duties as the EHS Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for developing the Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures in line with current standards and legislation.

2. Improve performance through the implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management system.

3. Communicate and deliver Health, Safety and Environmental methods throughout the company, and ensure that all staff are aware of company health, safety and environmental processes.

4. Monitor, guide and review Environmental, Health and Safety activities with company procedures and appropriate legislation, ensuring improvements are implemented promptly and correctly. Provide progress reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the EHS Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A relevant degree in a Health, Safety and Environmental discipline, Engineering or Science. The successful candidate will have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

2. You will have Environmental, Health and Safety experience working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, preferably from the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector. Other highly regulated industries such as aerospace or nuclear would also be considered.

3. Effective communicator with good presentation skills, with the ability to delivery EHS training. The ability to perform a robust GAP analysis against regulatory standards. Critical thinking skills and root cause analysis is a core requirement
