An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Materials Performance & Protection Business Unit for a Technical Sales Support Manager to conduct a mixture of office and field based work, with significant travel (50%) within the EMEA region, in order to provide technical support to the sales team, key customers and distributors on Lonza’s range of in-can and dry-film biocides.
The role will necessitate a sound understanding of polymer emulsion, paint/coatings chemistry, in order to provide technical product and applications support and training to both commercial teams and to customers. The role will form a conduit between internal technical and laboratory teams, sales personnel and customers/distributors to assist in delivering agreed sales objectives.
Ideally Degree level in microbiology, chemistry or a related subject, candidates must have relevant experience in a similar technically biased sales/technical support role. This position may also suit a technical support chemist/microbiologist seeking to develop their career in a more external/customer facing role. German language skills would be advantageous.
Candidates must have knowledge of the active ingredients used in industrial biocides, e.g. BIT, MIT, appropriate test methods and regulatory bodies (BPR). There are excellent career development opportunities for a high achiever.
