We currently have a great opportunity available for a Senior Scientist with experience of Analytical Development of a wide range of bioassays and immunoassays to join a leading company based in the North Wales area.

The Senior Scientist within Analytical Development is a varied role, with mainly laboratory based duties. You will be responsible for activities related to the development, transfer and validation of analytical methods to support site projects.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Senior Scientist - Analytical Development will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. To drive development, transfer and validation of methods to support site projects and provide technical support. Such methods will include ELISA, Cell based assays, SDS PAGE, Western Blotting and qPCR.

2. Identify, liaise and work with third parties to progress external activities, including writing and review of protocols and reports.

3. Ensure that experimental work is recorded appropriately in accordance with the requirements of GMP. Operate equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with GMP and Health & Safety guidelines.

4. Oversee review and preparation of SOPs for processes/methods, training packages and to perform training of personnel in analytical techniques.

5. To deputise for Analytical Team Management and represent the Analytical Development Team on site projects and perform related activities.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Scientist - Analytical Development we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a life sciences based discipline, as well as further experience gained working within an Analytical Development based function.

2. Proven industry experience in development of a selection of analytical techniques: ELISA, Cell assays, SDS PAGE, Western Blotting and / or qPCR. You will also be expected to have experience of mammalian cell culture.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience working within a GMP environment as well as having an understanding of other industry regulations and guidelines including MHRA, FDA.
