We are currently looking for a Scientist to join a leading pharmaceutical services company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Scientist you will be responsible for analysis of drug substances with chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as following:

1. Plan and conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques (e.g. LC-MS and/or GC-MS) and in accord with the appropriate regulatory standard e.g. ISO17025/GLP.

2. Critical assessment of analytical data and presentation of results and conclusions.

3. Responsive and able to perform additional analyses and investigations as and when required.

4. Perform routine maintenance on a range of scientific equipment, including mass spectrometers.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in an analytical chemistry related field.

2. Proven industry experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS and/or GC-MS techniques) would be advantageous

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with method development and validation of analytical techniques for LC-MS and/or GC-MS would be advantageous but not required.
