We are currently looking for a Research Scientist to join the antibody discovery team at an exciting and growing biotechnology company based in the Cambridge area. As the Research Scientist you will work on immuno-oncology projects that are directed at improving the treatment of serious diseases.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Design and execute a diverse range of experiments for the discovery of novel therapeutic antibodies and antibody fragments, to meet project goals.

2. You will construct and maintain Phage and Yeast display libraries and also assist in the selection and screening of these libraries.

3. Express, purify and analyse antibody fragments using mammalian cells.

4. Communicate data and results in the form of summary reports/ presentations with interpretation for project meetings and discussions.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree, masters or PhD in a life science discipline and experience working with antibody discovery projects.

2. Proven industry experience in antibody discovery techniques including but not limited to, expression, purification, molecular biology, high throughput screening, phage display, mammalian cell culture

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with library construction and automated liquid handlers would be highly desirable.
